This is our first attempt at a trail of caches - inspired by the trail that CalliesCrew did around another part of Cramlington. Our trail links together some of the green spaces that became special to us during our lockdown walks - Eastfield Playing Fields, Horton Burn, Nelson Hill and the wild fields next to Parkside.
We’ve clocked the whole route at just over 5km / 3 miles.
Some of the caches are accessible from Cramlington’s cycle track network - others are more off the beaten track! Some of them can be extremely muddy - you have been warned!
There’s a mixture of nanos, DISCOs and camouflaged containers - we’d advise on taking a pen/pencil and a pair of tweezers round with you as most of them aren’t big enough for pencils.
These are often busy areas - use stealth!
