This series commemorates my 50+ years of snowmobiling and the 20 snowmobiles my family and I had fun on during that time. In 1967, our family started snowmobiling in Syracuse, New York. Back then we would ride on Oneida Lake, or any field we could get permission to ride on. A special thanks to Mark & Glenn for helping me with this series.
This sled was our 11th sled. We purchased it used in 1990 after selling the Moto-Ski Nuvik. We still had the Scorpion Whip at this time. This was our first liquid cooled, high performance sled. When my Dad brought it home on the trailer, I was shocked! I don't think my Dad realized how hot this sled was and probably thought it was a “normal 400” which typically were in the 40 hp range. This sled had a hyfax-melting 68 horsepower! This was 23 more horsepower than anything we've had in the past. On the short straightaway in the drainage canal near my house (which I used as a performance benchmark) this sled easily broke 75 mph! That's a full 10 mph faster than any other sled we've had.
Congratulations to Bandit35757 on the FTF!
