Geocache Description:

Firstly, thank you to Sheffield Council's parks and countryside department for letting us place the multicache.  This cache is based on the Terry Pratchett novel of the same name and is also a nod to our love of music.  For those of you who want to pretend you're in the story read on, otherwise skip down to the info you need to find stage 2!  The main cache should be an easy find, the feeder cache (which has the co-ordinates for the final stage) may prove more troublesome....

YOU WILL NEED TWEEZERS FOR THE CACHE!

Imagine you are in Ankh-Morpork, one of the major cities of the Discworld.  Death is depressed and has taken some time off to think about things, leaving his granddaughter, Susan, to pick up the slack. Things have gone pear shaped, because "The Band with Rocks In" have formed and created "The Music with Rocks In", which is causing uproar in the city.  Not only that, it's threatening to change the course of history because the music has saved the lead singer, who was supposed to die in their first gig!  Albert (Death's servant) and the Death of Rats have left you some clues to help you find Death, so you can persuade him to go back to work, help Susan and save the Discworld.  Can you find the message they have left you, that will enable you to find Death, so that the universe can go back to normal and end the "The Music with Rocks In"?

The co-ordinates you've been given bring you to Ankh-Morpork's "Onion Gate", where you can see what looks like an information board of the park.  In fact, it contains hidden information that will give you co-ordinates to an area of Ankh-Morpork called "The Backs".  The Backs is a high magic area where the dodgy music shop, that sold Buddy his strange guitar, first appeared so be careful!  Albert & the Death of Rats have left you a note telling you where they think Death is and they have used Hex, Unseen University's computer, to create some questions to give you the digits you need to find it.

Using the board, answer the questions below and plug the numbers into the formula: N53 20.ABC W1 27.DEF.  This will give you the co-ordinates for stage 2, where you will find the message telling you where Death/the cache is.....

A = Third digit of the first date when J G Graves began gifting the park to the city.

B = Number of toilets - number of car parks

C = 3rd digit of the date that the Tea pavillion was built.

D = (4th digit in the phone number) x 2

E = 6th digit in the phone number

F = 6th digit in the charity number

You can validate your puzzle solution with certitude.

Watch out for muggles/doggles/wizards/trolls/dwarfs/bards/overexcited muscians.  If you're lucky, you may even get to see Binky (Death's horse) in one of the fields.   The final container is homemade so, please handle it carefully and please don't leave any spoilers in the logs smiley.  If either cache is damaged/missing, please let me know asap so I can repair it/them. The GPS was bouncing a bit so, although I've tried to get all the co-ordinates as accurate as possible, you may need to go on caching instincts.
