Geocache Description:

This small series of 7 caches on Walsall Canal via Darlaston and Moxley will take you from Porkets Bridge (entry from Wolverhampton Street), Barnes Meadow Bridge, Heathfields Bridge, Darlaston Road Bridge, Hollyhead Road Bridge all the way to Bull Lane Bridge.

The Walsall Canal runs from the Birmingham Mainline Canal near Oldbury via Great bridge and Walsall up to the Wyrley and Essington Canal at Birchills, Walsall. Starting at The Birmingham Mainline Canal the Walsall Canal runs a short distance to Ryders Green Junction, where it meets the Old Wednesbury Canal which leaves for the Ridgacre Canal, The Walsall Canal then continues down the Ryders Green Locks where it then runs alongside Great Bridge Town Centre.  The Canal moves out of Great Bridge and meets with the Tame Valley Canal at Tame Valley Junction in Ocker Hill. The Walsall Canal then runs around the outskirts of Wednesbury, Moxley and Darlaston where it passes the remains of some old Canal Junctions at Moorcroft and The Ansons Branch at Darlaston. The Canal then continues over James bridge Aqueduct before passing under the M6 Motorway and heading to Walsall. Here it meets with the Walsall Town Arm Canal at Walsall Junction, a short Canal leading into the town centre from the main Walsall Canal. The Walsall canal then passes up the Walsall Locks and reaches the Wyrley and Essington Canal at Birchills Junction.
