This cache is placed to continue the fun we had getting engaged and then subquently married. Three times the charm right? Well it was for my now hubby when trying to propose marriage. We finally were engaged at the big nut on Ashland Ave when looking for a geocache. He had tried buying a billboard sign at a Timber Rattlers game but I did not see it, then he tried to no avail to find a cache we didn't have a pen for on a trail near my home and that day I went off geocaching with my friend flutteringwings and sort of blew him off for the day, we actually just missed him on the trail by probably 15 minutes, when I finally arrived home we had already gone in the trail found the cache and more and signed them. I called him and when he arrived at my place he asked to go in the trail and find the cache but since it was hot I did not want to go back that day for him to find it and I had already signed it anyway. So he thought what the heck but I did say I knew of one that we needed to stop at on our way to where we were going. When we arrived at the spot there we muggles sitting in their car so I told him we had to leave he was reluctant but did and as we left so did the car so we went back and while we there and looking he dropped the fake cache (actually right next to the real one) and I found it and opened it, asked him to go get the pen which he didn't so I asked again wondering what the heck then as I read the log/proposal I figured out why he didn't move! Took me a hot second to understand but it was a big YES!! So now we say we found our forever nut at the nut! I left a pen from the ones we had made for our wedding since it is now a joke, GO GET THE PEN!!! It has our first names and marriage date.
This cache is a medium size container and is not far off the road. It is located in the cul-de-sac which is our side yard but not developed. You should not have to leave the road by more than 5 to 10 steps. It is cleverly hidden under something! It is not by the bridge or creek and is on the north side of the cul-de-sac. You should be able to reach it in the winter depending on the amount of snow we receive, of course. While there please enjoy any wildlife you might see. We have a lot of deer, some turkeys, some red tail hawks, a couple of bald eagles, rabbits, a hedgehog, chipmunks, depending on the time of year many, many kinds of birds including Cardinals, Orioles, woodpeckers, gold finches, nuthatches, bluejays, and more.
