Site #8 Special Word = How many wars are listed on the monument?  (Spell your answer)

................................................................................................................................................................................

Since 1812, over 500 men and women have left Brooklyn and the surrounding communities to join the arm forces and defend our country. The mission of the Brooklyn Area Memorial Committee is to honor veterans from the Brooklyn area who have served or are now serving the United States of America.

To honor these Heroes, our vision is to give recognition to the veterans, and their families, who have given so much during combat and peace-time operations. This monument, dedicated in 2016, will focus on peace, service, commitment and healing for the many local heroes who have served. It is our hope that this memorial will be an everlasting tribute as well as a reminder of the courage, suffering and sacrifices made by Brooklyn area men and women during their time of duty.
