I placed my first cache on the bike trail over 10 years ago. It was March 2010 when I first placed 12 caches on the west end of the trail. I told my wife (WVGrammy) that the rest of the trail would fill in with caches soon. We waited for a couple months.... nothing! So, I called GR8Caches and asked him to grab a handfull of cache containers and meet me and Grammy on the west end of the bike trail. That day we both placed several more caches on the Martinsubrg side. Over the years I have placed over 45 caches on this trail.
One year later (2011) my interest turned to building unique gadget caches and sharing ideas with other cache creators. My time turned to creating caches, and over time I slowed down placing caches on the trail and evidently slowly started archiving most of the caches I had placed on the bike trail. Thankfully GR8Caches has keep the enthusiam around the bike trail going, and host a yearly event here.
This year 2020, GR8Caches emailed me and asked if I would place some new caches on the trail. It's been a long time since I have placed a cache that wasn't a gadget. And in memory of this 10 year anniversary, I am placing a cache container "loaned" to me years ago by GR8Caches. (Now, we just have to hope he doesn't want to take his cache container back. )
