The Yellow Cache
How Geocaching Works
Use of geocaching.com services is subject to the terms and conditions in our disclaimer
The bright golden color yellow lies between green and orange on the visible spectrum and is, along with red and blue, one of the primary colors.
Since about A.D. 900 the color yellow has been integrated into the English language,
stemming from closely related words in the Latin and various Germanic languages.
In heraldry, where it is called ore (for gold) the color yellow stands for the positive virtues of faith, constancy, wisdom, and glory.
The color yellow has many negative associations.
Among them are jealousy, treachery, cowardice, aging, and illness.
But most people associate the brightness of the color yellow to
playfulness, light, creativity, warmth and an easy going attitude about life.
Bring some water for the hike and keep these words in mind as you search for the yellow cache.
Inside the cache are many things that are yellow, either in whole or in part.
We hope you enjoy the view as well as the hike.
May all your days be as bright, cheery, playful
and as easy going as the color yellow reminds you to be!!
