Beautiful Heather lake trail is worth the trip, the alpine lake is very scenic. dont be scared by the walk in you will be gaining about 1000' elev. but it is along well maintained trail.
The trail is well maintained and it will take you close to an hour and half to make 2 1/2 mi. trip to the lake. the trail is mostly graveled and ok for dogs and 10 year olds but leave the strollers behind. So pack a lunch and be sure to have fresh batteries for the camera and GPS.
Cache is a tupperware container wrapped in black plastic bag.
