A pretty secluded spot in Silverdale, slightly off the beaten track.
One of Silverdale's historic wells, Dogslack Well is situated just off The Row, Silverdale. Follow The Row down to Bank Well, a natural well next to the road. Opposite Bank Well is a footpath that leads down to an old pump surrounded by rocks. The pump supplied water for The Row cottages, finally going out of use in 1938 when the aquaduct from Haweswater to Manchester was constructed and water was piped from this supply to the village. Continue down the footpath until you get to a gate and a stile. The geocache is off to the right, just before the gate and stile. Good luck! :)
The Geocache
The geocache itself is a small, clear lunchbox.
