This cache brings you to a less frequently visited spot of Oostrandpark. Thanks to that, this location is perfect for bird watching, as various kinds of birds sing in the trees undisturbed. You can spot chaffinches (vink), various kinds of tits (mees), eurasian jays (gaai), chiffchaffs (tjiftjaf), robins (roodborstje) and many more.
There is also another thing happening in the area this year, though. Rumors have it that Christmas elves have been spotted somewhere in this area. What are they doing here? Perhaps they were lured by the quietness of this place? Is it possible, that they settled here so they can work on toys, hidden from human eyes?
Only a chosen few are allowed to go look for them. The North Pole Committee gave the local geocaching community the approval to try to locate the elves. Do not miss your chance to be one of the lucky ones!
