Geocache Description:

This was going to be a remote entry in my Sacramento based "Stroll in the Park" series, but the area cries out for something different. It is still a stroll in the park, and more.

The Sacramento "Stroll in the Park" series of caches are about exploring urban neighborhood parks, and while in the Bay Area visiting family I wanted to place one in the nearest park. Imagine my delight when I discovered that this neighborhood non- park is just the front end of something bigger!

At the coordinates shown above there is a rectangular building. On the wall of the building facing these coordinates there are a number of objects, and the uppermost of these objects is a large eleven word sign describing the rest of the objects. To log this virtual cache email me with the exact wording of the sign. I will verify your answer and advise you by return email to log your find. Do not log the cache until I have verified your answer; I will delete any logs that have not emailed me first and received my response!

Added 2/2/03 - If the sign is gone, there is a small pedestal approx 130 feet North of the above coordinates. E-mail me with the name of the person mentioned on the pedestal, why the pedestal is there, who put it there, and when.

While you are there enjoy the view. And go for a run!

8/23/03 addendum: The sign seems to be permanently missing, although you never know. And of more importance to many, this cache is NOT dog friendly, so plan your visit if Fido wishes to join you.

2/10/2006 addendum: Well, guess what?? The sign comes and goes, apparently seasonally. So e-mail me either set of information,
