The Saratoga to the Skyline Trail opened recently without any fanfare. This trail connects Quarry Park in Saratoga to Sanborn County Park. From there you can continue up to Skyline and pick up the Skyline to the Sea Trail (when it re-opens,) allowing you to walk from Saratoga all the way to the ocean. The trail is roughly 3 miles of beautiful new single-track trail, then about a mile on an existing private road, then another mile or so on new trail for the remainder of the way to Sanborn.
This cache is located at one of the new bridges. The bridges are magnificent and one of the highlights of the trail. The hide style should be obvious, but there's a good hint if needed. You can start at either Quarry Park or on Sanborn Road. I've included a waypoint for the trailhead in Quarry Park.
Quarry Park hours are 8:00am - 6:00pm. Sanborn hours are 8:00am - sunset. Enjoy the new trail!
