We have placed a few other Geocaches in this area, and while out doing a “wellness check” on our existing caches, we discovered a wonderful location for yet another Largent Bend Cache. “First To Find” this cache will be rewarded with a small FTF prize. This cache container is fairly large, with lots of room for SWAG. If you take a swag item, please leave an item. No Garbage, No Advertising, No Food, No Liquids. Located a short walk from the parking area on mostly level ground. Last 50-100 feet requires minor bush-whacking on uneven ground. This is a state fishing access, and at certain times can be quite Muggle Heavy - but most muggles are spread far apart, and are concentrating on hooking and landing their catch, so you probably won't have Muggle issues. This cache is located very near the edge of one of the many fishing ponds here, so if you have kids or pets, in tow, plan for their safety.
As we were walking this area looking for a place to hide a new cache, we discovered a small turtle halfway between the two ponds. At first we thought it was an old toy or garden decoration but Mr. WeRMusic gently picked it up and we saw a sweet little (annoyed) face. We took the little guy to the pond toward which he was aimed and released him into the waters. He disappeared quickly, much to our relief. Out where he was it was hot and windy and he would have been a tasty meal for a hungry raptor. We were able to find a great cache hide location that same day and this is the result. We hope you enjoy and make stories of your own on your caching journey.
Please, as always, practice Cache In. Trash Out. Help keep the area clean.
