Barraganyatti Hut Road Trail starts at Cooks lane and travels through some lovely countryside with many opportunities for flora & fawna photography. It's only about 6 kms long and re-enters the old highway not far from the Stuarts Point interchange.
There are a couple of locations along the way where you can pull in and have a picnic lunch where people have been collecting firewood in the past, although the trail can be easily completed in an hour or so...
There is full mobile phone service along the way and the condition of the gravel road is usually quite suitable for all vehicles with suitable ground clearance. There are a couple of rutted out sections at the northern end but after this the road is easily negoatiated.
We decided on this mini trail as many fellow geocachers LOVED one particular cache along the Tamban Trail, so welcome to the Fruit & Nut Trail and enjoy your drive through the forest. Stop your car occasionally and just listen to the silence of the bush, its beautiful.
This particular geocache is a small plastic fabricated magnetic container. You will need a pen, stamp, or pencil.
