The Gateway Service Centre is also known as 'The Donut' because as you fly above the roundabout over the Pacific Highway it resembles a giant donut.
This is a great place to stop and relax with outdoor shelter and seats available at the rear. The Service Centre has undergone major redevelopment with an upgraded service station and a large parking area for heavy vehicles. Stage Two will include a new food court and is due to be completed in 2022.
So Donut Pass Go until you Grab the Cache, have a feed and a rest break.
Beware of heavy vehicles in the area. The cache can be reached via McDonalds rear carpark or the safest approach is from Gillman Way via Sovereign Drive with plenty of parking available. Cache is located on the southern side of the fence.
