During certain season Environmental Affairs Department forecasts wildfire and risk getting higher than in years before.
The department was unable to do all the fire breaks and regular preparation work in risky areas due to the COVID-19 lock-down.
Fire-fighters are ready and prepared to respond.
In the 2017/18 wildfire season, fire fighters dealt with around 17,000 incidents.
Two-thousand fires were reported in informal settlements - and 9,000 were wildfires.
