Geocache Description:

A beautiful new trail has just opened that connects Quarry Park and Sanborn Park. You can find it on the latest version of the Sanborn County Park map. There are two beautiful new segments at each end, connected by a less attractive one mile stretch along an existing road. This cache marks the start/end of the western new trail segment, which I am calling "the other good part". But hey, it gets you there so it is all good.

If you start at Sanborn Road, you cross the creek over a beautiful new bridge and then head up a climb. There is a mix of bay, fir, and redwood, nicely shady. The cache is located at the junction of the new trail and the old road, by some second growth redwoods. You are looking for a 6 inch high, 2 inch diameter cylinder. My GPSr doesn't like redwoods so the hint is generous. Happy caching.
