As we travelled down the road we noticed this wee hall as we headed to Owaka and on our return had to stop for a look. There are two buildings on the property (no access) but there is a rock with a plaque with the following inscription just inside the fence...
KURIWAO HALL
Site of the buildings used as a meeting place and hurch 1881-2004 and school 1895-1943. C.W.I met here from 1932
