Pietersburg Bowling Club
The “Bowling Green”, was the first name of this club, was established between March and May 1931 on Erf 8 in Landdros Maré street. During 1937 the club moved to President Kruger Square, where the Holiday Inn is now situated. The Name then changed to Pietersburg Bowling Club. During 1955 the club moved to it’s present site in Van Riebeek Park and the Name changed to Pietersburg Bowls Club.
This facility intrigued me for many years on how clean and neat it is. They take a lot of pride in the club’s history and it shows.
