
This cache is a part of the 2020 NoVaGo Olympic series that celebrates international competition, and this one is for the Olympic Kayaking and Canoeing events. The final container provides some items that you can use to stage some miniature races in the nearby stream, I originally wanted to place this cache at a unique Kayak Whitewater Course that had been used for Olympic training in Dickerson, Maryland, but I decided you can read about how the course can be used year-round becuase it was built using heated water runoff from a utility plant. Instead of taking you 60 miles away, I offer you a more playful cache that is hidden in a Fairfax County stream valley park.
Two sets of parking coordinates are provided for your convenience on each side of Holmes Run.
From whichever parking area you choose, proceed to the Stage 1 coordinates in the middle of the pedestrian bridge that crosses Holmes Run.
From Stage One, project a waypoint to Stage Two that is 1,263 feet away, at a bearing of 339 degrees.
Proceed to Stage Two, where you will find some important information that you can use with the clues below to find the final stage where the cache is hidden:
