The public garden,wich includes children play facilities and seating areas, is named after the fallen sons of Newe Shanan. At its heart, surrounded by vegetation and grass, there is a monument. The center of the monument is a square stone pillar, with three steps at its foot and a relief of a lion on its sides. At the pillars top there is an IDF emblem, the word "thanks to them" followed by a plaque with the Palmach emblem and the names of the 15 sons of the neighborhood who fell during the War of Independence. below is written: "Honor and glory to them!" On both sides of the pillar were built tombstones like structures. On the black boards, by periods, inscribed are the names of the fallen since the establishment of the state of isarel.
This place is also reverend by my mother in law as her sister is one of the names on the plaque : Yeora Bankovski יאורה בנקובסקי
there is a drinking fountain and nice patch of grass for a picnic
some old pine trees near by and two yong oak trees are near the cache.
