When the town of Wynyard is mentioned, many people associate the location with the Tulip Festival when there is a spectacular display of tulips on nearby Table Cape and throughout the town. Those with longer memories may recall that Wynyard was the only place in Australia where the main rail line crossed the runway at the airport, causing trains to stop when planes were using the runway. Others may recall 1967 when Wynyard supporters invaded the ground and removed a goal post to prevent a player from North Hobart taking a kick at goal after the final siren in the State Football Grand Final.
Anecdotes aside, there is much to see in and around Wynyard. The Adventure Lab Wandering Wynyard took you on a tour to visit some current attractions which are linked to aspects of the history of the area. This Bonus Cache with take you to a sixth and geologically highly significant location. You should have obtained the coordinates for the Bonus Cache on completion of Wandering Wynyard. If you haven't already done so, you may also take the opportunity to collect information for the nearby Earthcache GC1CH39 Fossil Bluff.

The cache is a 200mL sistema (previously a 1.2L sistema). You will need to walk along the beach to get to the cache and that will be possible even at a very high tide.
