Skateboarding has become popular among young people as a form of street culture, and is now becoming a popular sport that will be an official event of the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. To make skateboarding more popular in Hekinan City, Aichi Prefecture, local sports clubs, Hekinan City employees and skaters are working hard to build a park! After five years, Hekinan Skateboard Park opened on March 20, 2020. It is the first public facility in the country to be open to the public 24 hours a day, free of charge.

ストリートカルチャーとして若者から人気を集めるスケートボード。2021年に東京で開催されるオリンピックの正式種目にもなり、今やスポーツのひとつとしてその名が浸透しつつあります。そんなスケートボードを愛知県碧南市で盛り上げたいと、地元のスポーツクラブや碧南市の職員さん、スケーターの方々がパーク建設に奮闘！5年の歳月を経て2020年3月20日に「碧南スケートボードパーク」をオープンさせました。公共施設としては、全国初となる24時間無料で利用可能なスケートパークです。
