TURO D’ABELLEROLS
El Turo d’Abellerols es un magnífic mirador del municipi de Sant Llorenç Savall. Des del seu cim de 696 m, es gaudeix d’una vista panoràmica de 360 º amb una postal increïble de La Mola, El Montcau, Els Emprius, El Castell de Pera, El Castell de Rocamur, El Marquet de les Roques i altres meravelles.
Al segle XII ja es coneixia el Turo amb el nom d’Abellerols, per l’abundància d’aquests ocells a la zona quan arribaven amb el bon temps, des d’Àfrica.
Són acolorits i cridaners. Incapaços de passar desapercebuts. I no es diuen Abellerols per casualitat. Un Abellerol en època de cria pot capturar fins 400 abelles diàries. D’aquí que aquest ocell desperta aversió i simpaties a parts iguals.
