At the time of placing, Gili Air was the only of the three Gili Islands without a geocache, so during our stay here we decided to place one on the quietest part of this lovely little island.
This is not your average cache, so a lot of extra effort and preparation will be required to find it and actually sign the log!
Don't screw it up!
This is a species of pandanus tree (family of palm-like deciduous trees and shrubs). It's common name in English is "screw pine tree".... Check out the way the leaves grow in whorls and you can see they are like the threads of a screw :D The roots, trunks AND leaves are spikey and sharp (like many plants that grow in very arid conditions), so please take care not to scratch or impale yourself!
