When we first moved to Tasmania just over two years ago somebody told us that you are not in the South until you past Oatlands and you are not in the North until you past Oatlands as it is approx half way between the two. At that stage we didn't really know where Oatlands was.
Since then we have been to Oatlands many times and find the little town charming, with a couple of good cafes and a few nice walks nearby.
This cache is placed as a reminder to us of the significance of Oatlands.
