Geocache Description:

Now a suburb of Manchester, Didsbury village was originally a small community, centred around a natural spring on Stenner Lane, on raised ground overlooking the river Mersey. The village green is now the beer garden of The Didsbury pub.

With the advent of the industrial revolution, Didsbury railway station was built (now demolished), with a line to Manchester and later, connections down to London. The old line is now used as the Metrolink tramway. The station attracted rich and influential buisinessmen, who built their large homes in an already popular and expanding residential area. There is a high concentration of grade II listed buildings in Didsbury.

In order to log this cache, you first need to complete the 5 Adventure labcaches, Historic Gems of Didsbury. These take you on a tour around some of the local constructions of historic interest, with stories of notable past events and people of Didsbury.

To access the labcaches, click on this link: https://adventurelab.page.link/CXV1

At the final location of your tour you will be given three words and a hint. Use the What3Words App to navigate to the location of this bonus cache. This is free to download on your smart-phone.

The container is a bit larger than a micro. Please be careful. This can be a very busy area - stealth is required. Replace logbook exactly as found and tighten "lid" properly, to keep log dry. Replace cache so that it cannot be seen by passing Muggles.

Congratulations to Hydeseeker for FTF
