There's no better way to pre-game your Turkey Day than a walk in the woods & finding a creek to play in.
The parking for the trailhead is close to the fire training center.
I used my handy dandy, old school GPS to mark the location. Coords averaged 151 points with a variance of +/- 15'. But lots of tree cover so geosense should guide the way just fine.....
But.... once you cross the creek, go off trail to the left, up the hill, and maybe 30'. Weird tree. Mysterious pile of rocks. (and yes, it's really weird looking tree??)
