Geocache Description:

The given coordinates will bring you to the toilets situated at the Aramoana Domain, near the head of the Otago Hrabour. There are two units here, located on the right hand end of the obvious building. There is no sign indicating what hours that they are available and the only way of locking either unit is from the inside so it appears that they are available at all hours. The doors are wooden and swing open. The bowls are white and cermanic, with white plastic seats. The left hand unit has enough room in it it negotiate a wheel chair. The white cistern in this unit has two flushing options. There is a rail above the toilet paper dispenser to assist anyone having difficulty in standing. The hand basin is plastic with a supply of cold water. At the time of my inspection there was a brownish frog sitting on the basin. Above the basin is a liquid soap dispenser and near that is a Covid-19 QR code for signing in. The other unit is smaller and the cistern is enclosed, with one flush option. The handbasin here is stainless steel. It has a similar arrangement to the other with QR code and soap. It also has a toilet paper holder for two large rolls. Both units have a sanitary disposal unit. The walls are of varnished chip board. Both have a light and window. There does not appear to be any switches for the light so I'm assuming that thet are on the same system as the city street lights. Neither unit has has any hand drying facilities. Floors are concrete. Overall the units were clean, functional and odour free at the time of my visit.

There is no public transport within a few kilometres of the cache. You can take your bicycle out to Careys Bay on the city bus (route14) which takes up to 2 bicycles at a time, drive and cycle (like I did) or drive/motorbike. The road in places is narrow and windy but the bends are so tight that traffic doesn't go very fast. On my cycle trip out I met 5 cyclist heading in and on my return trip there were 4 cyclists heading out.

From the domain there are a couple of short walks, one to a boardwalk over the salt marsh and one through the Gordon Johnston Arboretum. The cache is actually hidden just off one of these tracks. From the given coordinates  go 100.954516 metres at a bearing of 251.82343475462 degrees. There you should find the cache under some ferns.
