Cyfres o 5 celc sydd wedi’u bwriadu i apelio at deuluoedd, aelodau o'r cyhoedd, ysgolion a grwpiau eraill a hoffai archwilio ardal Taf Bargoed ar Gomin Gelli-gaer a Merthyr. Mae'r Comin yn dirwedd fyw sy’n dal i weithio, ac sy’n llawn hanes. Mae'n Dirwedd Hanesyddol sydd wedi’i dynodi gan Cadw oherwydd y dystiolaeth bod y tir wedi’i ddefnyddio’n barhaus a bod gweithgarwch wedi bod yno ers y cyfnod cynhanesyddol tan y gorffennol diweddar. Mae modd cyrraedd pob un o'r 5 celc drwy gerdded y llwybr 'Glas' ar Lwybr y Barcud Coch – nid oes angen torri corneli a thrafferthu drwy’r rhedyn trwchus. Mae rhagor o wybodaeth am Lwybr y Barcud Coch ar gael yn www.gmcommon.org/archwilich
Ym mhob un o'r 5 celc mae yna lythrennau. Mae'r llythrennau'n ffurfio pos anagram, sy’n gwneud gair sy'n gysylltiedig â'r comin. Datryswch y pos ac anfonwch eich atebion i enquiries@gmcommon.org i gael tystysgrif.
Dyma'r celc cyntaf. Mae wedi’i osod y tu ôl i un o'r pyst gât wrth fynedfa Canolfan Summit
A sequence of 5 caches intended to appeal to families, members of the public, schools and other groups who want to explore the Taf Bargoed area of Gelligaer & Merthyr Common. The Common is a living and working landscape, steeped in history. It is a designated Cadw Historic Landscape due to evidence of continued land use and activity from prehistory to the recent past. All 5 caches can be accessed by walking the ‘Blue’ route of the Red Kite Trail – there is no need to cut corners and struggle through dense bracken. More information about the Red Kite Trail can be found at www.gmcommon.org/explore.
In each of the 5 caches are letters. The letters form an anagram puzzle, making a word which relates to the common. Solve the puzzle and send your answers to enquiries@gmcommon.org to receive a certificate.
This is the first cache. It is placed behind one of the gateposts at the entrance to the Summit Centre driveway
