Route 18 Park is one of the parks within Queen Anne's County Department of Parks & Recreation. The park consists of 61.5 acres: walking trails, athletic complex including lighted baseball fields, and more. Open to the public, "dawn-to-dusk" hours. (May have lighted baseball fields on evenings during "baseball season".)
Selby Sports Complex is a feature of the park. The complex is named in honor of John W. Selby, longtime resident of Queen Anne's County. Selby was passionate about baseball: collegiate star player, professional team owner, coach / educator. The Selby complex is very active during "baseball season", frequently with simultaneous games at the different baseball fields.
The cache is a larger sized Lock 'n' Lock container, placed with permission of Queen Anne's Department of Parks & Recreation. Cache is a TB Hotel (Travel Bug Hotel). At any time, TBs may be in the cache; the TBs are not collectible. It is intended that TBs be retrieved and moved along to other caches. Logbook and pencil, plus small SWAG are also in the cache. Sign the logbook, take some SWAG & leave some SWAG as trade. Retrieve a TB if you are willing to move it along. As well, if you wish, deposit a TB for someone else to move along. Securely close the Lock 'n' Lock, and replace the cache precisely as found. Please post a log documenting any TB retrieval / deposit.
Have fun at Route 18 Park, and Happy Geocaching!
