Geocache Description:

Have you ever been on the Olympic Rail?

It has been said that many many years ago olympic athletes used to train on them in the olympic villages. Mainly in the late 1800's into to the early 1900's up until 1907. Whether it was used for balancing for gymnastics during practice sessions or javelin throwers using it to measure their throws. Rumor had it such entertainers as unicyclists would use a device that would allow them to hop on the rail and have them go down the rail balancing from one end to another.

These days rails like these are mainly on sides of roads serving its purpose. But there is a cache to find on one of them.

Have fun on the Olympic Rail!
