The cache is near a massive deadfall in Lake Lansing North. If someone is at the booth, there will be a fee to get into the park. Keep going down to the end of Park Entrance and there is a parking lot next to a grassy field. Please respect the local plantlife near this cache, do not disrupt any plants trying to get to this cache. You can get to the cache without resorting to bushwhacking. You do not have to crawl inside the log to find the cache, but there is a good chance you will get your hands dirty trying to find this cache. Dogs are free to be in this park and play around but they must be kept on a 6-foot leash. GeoDogs are welcome! To find the cache, go to the part of the tree where the trunk splits into a Y. You might need to crouch down to view the cache. It is a small clear Lock n' Lock container. Be sure to put the cache exactly where you found it. Not recommended during the winter because it may be hard to find due to snow, and some trails in this park require cross-county skis.
