Background: MeRiddle, my brother, and I were out running around on backroads finding a few caches along the way to the North Fork Smith River Trail Head. I hadn't intended to place any caches today, but when we passed this place, I couldn't help but put one here. Around the corner from the cache site is a large water filled quarry with a beautiful ridge behind it. There are a couple dispersed campsites here. Also to the right of the quarry, around the bend, is a gated road that climbs the ridge behind the quarry. The view up that road is even more spectacular than the view near the quarry.There are many ways to reach this area. We came up from Whitaker Creek Rd.
Where is that cache? It's placed a short way up a small spur to the left of the quarry. The cache is hidden a bit away from the quarry to make it able to be found should the campsites be in use. There is a campsite at the top of the spur as well. You are looking for a regular sized snap lock container. Please rehide with natural camo.
