Geocache Description:

Welcome to the 12 Days of Cachemas, brought to you by the Omaha Elves!

The Elves will publish 12 caches all over the Omaha metro area, one on each day from December 13-24. You can expect a variety of types, sizes and at all times of the day.  Some will be more challenging than others, but none will be higher than 2.5 in D or T.

This year’s theme is “Some of Our Favorite Things”

The first 11 of these caches will each contain an FTF prize in the shape of a collectible Christmas ornament. If you get a FTF and collect the ornament and get another FTF on another day, you can decide to leave the ornament for the STF or take it for yourself. Christmas spirit says let another geocacher have the joy of an ornament.

The object of the game is to get the coordinates to the final (12th) cache, which will be published on Christmas Eve. Day 1 thru 11 caches will hold (taped to the lid) one digit of the coords to the 12th cache, which will be a puzzle.

There will be a FTF and STF prize in the final.

Merry Cachemas from the Omaha Elves!

Posted coordinates take you to a parking lot of a small park. That’s a great place to park your sleigh, but that’s not where you’ll find the container. Several years back, we elves were riding with Santa, delivering presents in Omaha, when we noticed this small park. Since it was in a very quiet spot, Santa parked the sleigh for a few minutes and let us elves play on the small playground here. We even found a geocache here! To show our appreciation, on our way out of the park, Santa let us place a very special present for our fellow geocachers. But where is the present, you ask? Follow the letterbox clues below to find out.

From the parking lot, the sleigh zipped up the hill to the northeast on Craig Ave. with a whoosh! We followed the sidewalk until it was no more, then we took a left turn and in the blink of an eye, we’d gone about 800 feet. That’s when we elves noticed the trees to our left and we thought, “That would be a great place for a cache!” So I picked up a special present from the bottom of the sleigh and launched it toward the tree line. Wouldn’t you know, it landed snug under a log? I’m sure it’s still there, waiting for your signature. Please leave the stamp for our letterboxers to use.

Psst! The final is located at 361.75 590W 689.91 14N
