The geocache I had here previously was pretty popular, but apparently went missing at which point I replaced it, without going down the hill to check on it, and moved it to the guardrail. Then the guardrail was replaced and no more geocache!!! :( I recently was able to return to the location and check it all out. How surprised was I when I found my original geocache still in place down the hill! Apparantly the previous cachers just had not looked in the right location and I had not done enough investigation...bad me. So I left it where I found it in its originaly hiding spot and let's do this one more time!
This cache is down the hill a bit from the parking lot and road. It's a busy road...please be careful, especially if you have little ones with you. It's a little steep and there are pokey plants just like all over Arizona so maybe take a hiking stick to assist with getting down the hill and take your time. I'll admit I checked on this one in a dress and sandals and I hit 65 in a couple days so the bar has been set! The parking lot is closed after dark, but please enjoy this beautiful location with an awesome view during daylight hours. Visiting at sunset or when a distant storm is in play is very special and maybe you'll hear screams of a hawk, howls of the coyotes or the owls hooting. I'd love to see your photos as I recently moved across town and will miss this fabulous spot! Good luck!
