Here’s a chance to grab a couple of souvenirs before the end of 2020 and clean-up a patch of our local community. 2020 has been memorable for all the wrong reasons, so let’s wish 2020 goodbye and make a positive start towards 2021 with a CITO event.
Cache in Trash Out (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 470,000 people have volunteered at over 24,000 events in 124 countries. At CITO events, geocachers and community groups work together to improve parks and other outdoor environments. They clean up litter, plant trees, remove invasive species, build trails, and much more.
The 31st December marks is an important day for geocaching, it’s the last opportunity to log a find and bag a souvenir for 2020 and it’s the last day of CITO Season 2 where you’ll also grab another souvenir for attending a CITO event. Hope to see you there!
