William Pezwick Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Brendele: This used to be in a beautiful wooded area beside Traphole Brook, but efforts by the Neponset River Watershed Association to take down a dam and free up the area for trout fishing have destroyed a lot of the trees and there is no longer a nice place for the cache to go. I'm sure it was all for the best, long term. There is still another cache nearby.

Geocache Description:

This wooded area, a small 3-acre parcel of land along Traphole Brook in Norwood, MA,, is one of those little unknown places that is a delight to discover.   It is managed by the Norwood Conservation Commission, who approved this cache.

When I first discovered this little park, the brook was low, sleepy and still, but on my second visit there had been heavy rains and the brook had come alive with rushing water and a beautiful little waterfall.   I'm not a fisherman myself, but Google tells me that fishermen will find a variety of fish including brook trout, rainbow trout and brown trout here.

If you blink you will miss the little parking lot with room for just a couple of cars, right where you see the sign for William Pezwick Park on Sumner Street.     This is a Park 'n Grab.  While here, check out my other cache nearby.

There is a small FTF coin for whoever gets here first!  BYOP (bring your own pencil).

Happy caching!
