The Cochrane park is one of two parks joined together, seperated only by a small burn running down the middle.  In 1922 the area was donated by the Cochrane family and named Cochrane Park. Including the building, named the Cochrane hall, which has been used as a local hall to hold dances, Voting and all mannor of local events. most sundays see a Dog show held in the park.

Lying to the east is Johnstone Park, donated by James Johnstone in 1856. The Johnstone park hosts the Famous Alva games. The Alva Games are held annually in July and have been held in the park for over 160 years. These games include all the traditional events of a highland gathering and for the very fit, a challenging and exciting hill race to the top of the Ochils.

Both parks form to make one large area that is well used by the townsfolk and visitors alike.

The area can be very busy so please use stealth when retrieving and returning tthe cache, its only a meter or so from the path and should not be hard to find.
