This is one of ten caches placed for Cache Across Maryland 2021. You must find all ten caches prior to the picnic held on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in order to receive a free Maryland Geocaching Society CAM geocoin.

WOODBROOK COOPERATIVE WILDLIFE
MANAGEMENT AREA
Woodbrook Cooperative Wildlife Management Area is located northeast of Mount Airy, Maryland. The 522 acre tract was purchased by the Carroll County Government as a potential site for a future watershed.
Woodbrook CWMA hunting access is managed by the Wildlife and Heritage Service. The mission of the Wildlife and Heritage Service is to conserve and enhance diverse wildlife populations and associated habitats while providing the public enjoyment of the State's wildlife resources through hunting and other wildlife-dependent recreation. Woodbrook CWMA is primarily forested land. Using sustainable forestry practices, periodic timber harvests are conducted on the area. Woodbrook CWMA provides habitat for upland and forest wildlife species, primarily white-tailed deer, rabbits, squirrels and songbirds.
Park Access/Hours
- Trails are open from sunrise to sunset February 16th through August 31st.
- Trails are closed Monday, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays from September 1st through February 15th for the cooperative hunting program.
- Trails are completely closed for two weeks beginning the Saturday after Thanksgiving for firearm deer season.
