Geocache Description:

According to the Kansas Geological Survey, a 3.3 magnitude earthquake was centered very near here, at 10:54:02 am, local time, this morning, Tuesday, Dec 8, 2020.

According to the United States Geological Survey, it was a 3.0, ± 0.1, magnitude earthquake, but located at N37 43.080 W97 14.520, ± 1.6 km, about .67 mile west, at the south end of Bradley Fair Pond, and about 5 km, ± 2.0 km, deep.

According to the KGS website, this is the first earthquake that measured greater than 3.0 magnitude, in the Wichita area in 2020.

There were three 2.4-2.7 magnitude earthquakes located about 1.5 southeast of here in November.

Are these just the first four earthquakes with more to come in this area in the near future?

I felt it at my house, over 7 miles southwest of here, Did you feel it, too?

There have been several other earthquakes in and around Sedgwick County this year, including a 4.8 magnitude earthquake southwest of Hutchinson on Jan 19, 2020.

You are looking for a black bison tube hanging about 4-5 ft high in the cedar tree near the sidewalk.
