Hook n Hide Traditional Cache

GeoBama123: This is one of my favorite caches that I have hidden but alas, it's been difficult to keep it going with it disappearing so often.

Thank you to the 277 cachers who have logged Hook n Hide during its 4 year run. I hid it during that first COVID year when I needed more outdoor activities. I enjoyed walking down to the Hook regularly to check on it.

A couple of years ago, I was about 50 feet away when I saw a boy climbing on the rock and pulling out the cache. He showed it to his mom and she yelled, "put it back. It might be a drug thing!!!" I immediately went over and taught them about geocaching. Ah the stories...

Geocache Description:


The Hook

Located down a gravel road just west of the Hood River Waterfront Park and Event Site, the Hook creates an area that is protected from the extreme winds and is perfect for the beginning windsurfer.  Many local windsurfing shops set up here in the summer to teach. There are many great sunsets from the end of the Hook.

Please use stealth as there can be LOTS of muggle walkers in the vicinity. Please hide as well or better than you found it.
