Welcome to the Equestrian Trail Series! Located within the Kern River Parkway, the Equestrian Trail parallels the paved bike path but on the north side of the Kern River. Take a hike or a bike and enjoy this trail less traveled!
ACCESS: From the Enos Lane bike path parking lot and equestrian staging area, follow the bike path east for a quarter mile. Take the dirt road north which will lead you to the gate with a step through for pedestrian/equestrian access.
Burgoo King
Burgoo King was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who won the first two legs of the U.S. Triple Crown series but did not run in the Belmont Stakes. Burgoo King was names for a local grocer famous for his burgoo stew.
