This used to be the final/bonus for a short series themed on the best film ever made, 2001: A Space Oddessey, but is now epublished as a traditional, stand-alone cache.
After discovering the massive black monolith known as TMA-03 in orbit around Jupiter, astronaut Dave Bowman leaves the safety of his spaceship, Discovery, and entered the star gate. After passing through countless dimensions, visiting distant worlds and galaxies he found himself next in an unkown location which his mind interpreted as a white room with neo-classical decor, where he aged and eventualy died. The mysterious black monolith appears once more.
In the final scene of the film, Bowman is 'reborn' in the form of what appeared to be an enormous human fetus, known as the Star Child. Having joined with the mysterious aliens he joins them in watching the ongoing evolution of mankind.
