National Chung Hsing University (English translation: National Chung Hsing University) is the first higher education institution in Taichung City. Ten colleges including the College of Science and Technology, the College of Engineering, the College of Electronic Resources, the College of Management, the College of Agricultural Resources, the College of Life Sciences, the College of Veterinary Medicine, the College of Law and Politics, the College of Liberal Arts, the College of Innovation Industries and the International College, as well as the affiliated high school and the affiliated Taichung Agriculture High school middle school. His research fields are agricultural science, agricultural economics, veterinary medicine, life science, translation medicine, biomedical engineering, biotechnology, green technology, etc. In recent years, Xingda and Taichung Veterans General Hospital, Changhua Normal University, China Medical University and other institutions have concentrated on the three fields of cancer medicine, immunology and medical engineering, and gradually applied laboratory results to the clinic. In the future, it will actively cooperate with the Ministry of Education. Strive to establish the first public medical school in the central region [6]; and actively cooperate with the Taichung City Government to sign a letter of intent to jointly promote digital culture and smart cities [7]. In addition, Chung Hsing University is also a member of EUTW and TCUS.
Xingda can be traced back to the "Agriculture and Forestry College" established in Taipei in the eighth year of the Japanese occupation. It is the earliest predecessor of Xingda. In the 17th year of the Republic of China, it became an affiliated agricultural and forestry major of Taipei Imperial University (now Taiwan University). Since then, the school was established independently in the Republic of China in 32, and is actively committed to integrating local resources, strengthening the school's outstanding research fields, promoting environmental protection, sustainable development, internationalization and promoting industry-university cooperation to achieve this goal. "Cultivate elite talents with humanities and science literacy, communication and innovation capabilities, international vision and social care".
國立中興大學（英語譯名：National Chung Hsing University），簡稱興大、NCHU，是臺中第一所高等教育機構。計有理學院、工學院、電資學院、管理學院、農資學院、生命科學院、獸醫學院、法政學院、文學院、創新產業暨國際學院等十間學院，與附屬高中、附屬臺中高農兩所附屬中學。研究領域以農業科學、農業經濟學、獸醫、生命科學、轉譯醫學、生醫工程、生物科技、綠色科技等見長 。近年興大與臺中榮民總醫院、彰化師範大學、中國醫藥大學等機構合作，聚焦於癌症醫學、免疫醫學及醫學工程三項領域，將實驗室成果逐步應用到臨床上，未來積極與教育部爭取中部地區第一家公立醫學院設立[6]；並積極與臺中市政府合作，簽訂合作意向書，共同推動數位文化、智慧城市[7]。此外，中興大亦是EUTW、TCUS的成員之一。
興大最早可追溯至民國8年日據時代在臺北創建之「農林專門學校」，為興大最早之前身。民國17年，變成臺北帝國大學（即今日的臺灣大學）之附屬農林專門部，後於民國32年獨立設校，並遷至積極整合在地資源，強化本校具優勢之研究領域，推動環境保護、永續發展、國際化與產學合作推廣，以「培育兼具人文與科學素養、溝通與創新能力、國際視野與社會關懷之菁英人才」為教育目標。
