Happy Hanukkah # 7 - Oil
#7 in the 8 cache Hanukkah themed series. Oil is a major part of the Hanukkah story. Oil was used to dedicate the Jewish temple in Jerusalem in ancient times. There was only enough oil to last a single night. The miracle of Hanukkah was that the oil lasted 8 days. In honor of the oil are fried foods (latkes/ potato pancakes and Sufganiyot/ donuts) a major component.
