It was the year 2020 and a very bad virus had infected our world. Everyone had to change the way they did things. Pepole had to start wearing masks. They had to stay away from other people. (at least 6 feet away) People who used to hug and shake hands had to keep their paws to themselves. (it was rough) People had to stay home unless they were "essential."
But, The one thing they could still do was go outside and excercise. (yuck)
This came as no surprise to one group of people known as Geocachers. They were used to going out and keeping active. Walking for miles and hours at a time. There was something else Geocachers knew about fighting the virus, they knew how to get "Smileys." What they knew was a "Smile" is a prelude to "Laughter." And EVERYONE knows that laughter is the BEST medicine.
So, go out and find that Smiley! But remember, fighting virus' can not be done quickly. To beat this virus, you must be patient to make sure you can defeat it!
To prove you are have beaten this virus and show the world you have outsmarted it, you MUST sign the medical sheet (aka log.) Unfortunately, if you do not sign it, you cannot post online that you did and you will not earn the Smiley that will defeat the virus.
Warning: be gentle with the virus. We do not want it to mutate or multiply and become even more dangerous.
After defeating this virus, please return it to it's hiding spot in a way that muggles won't accidently find it and unwittingly release it upon the world.
There is a prize for the 1st person to defeat this virus. (There will also be a prize for the 1st person who can EMAIL the significance to defeating this particular virus. You will understand when you try to defeat the virus.)
