4th Annual First & Last (Covid Style)

For the cachers that have been to any of our previous First & Last events know, when we get together for this event all of us have written down a goal to be put into a hat and then randomly draw out of the hat one of the goals for the new year and make it our own.  Some can be a bit challenging, some a little crazy but I think for the most part everyone has embraced that goal and did their best to achieve it.

It is now time to find out how we all managed completing this task and also to think about a goal for 2021.

Our "Covid Friendly" event has been changed to a meet & greet event.  This has been changed per recent HQ guidelines. Just driving by is not an acceptable option for an event.  But that's ok, we can still do this.  And this is how we will.

Stop by the posted coordinates anytime between 2:00 and 2:30  (I'll be sitting on the bench next to my Little Free Library GC7B569  brrrr ), there will not be a sign in sheet as such in order to reduce the risk of transference of covid.   I also ask that you attend at your own comfort level. By that, I mean if you are comfortable with parking and getting out and visiting while wearing a mask that is ok, however if you are not comfortable doing that you may do a quick stop and wave. If that is your choice make sure I see you and that I know your Geocaching Name.  I will greet you at your vehicle, pick up your geo-resolution and if you are one of the first 15 cachers hand out your goodie bag. 

Please Do Not attend if you are not feeling well or have been around someone who has not felt well or have been exposed to the virus during the past 14 days prior to January 1st.  You may remain in your vehicle if you wish, I will come to you to get your geo-resolution that you have written down for the new year along with your caching name on a 3x5 card or something about that size. I'll have a bucket that they can go in.  

After the event is over the geo-resolutions will be drawn out for you in the same order that the will attend logs are recorded.  Later that day I will put an announcement log on letting everyone know what each of our geo-resolutions are.

So, did you make your goal for 2020??  In last years attended logs everyone posted what they had drawn for a goal.  In case you forgot you can go to GC8GPAP

Remember to write in your will attend log what last years goal was and if you were able to complete it.   If you were not able to complete your goal due to covid19 please let everyone know that as well.

Additional but not required small print notice

You are not required to have participated in last years event nor are you required to write a 2021 goal to attend this event...but it has been fun doing this.  I hope we can keep up the tradition.  And, if anyone wants to visit longer than just stopping and waving you are welcome to do this,...just dress for the weather and practice social distancing.
