Geocache Description:

The cache is NOT at the posted coordinates

The posted coordinates are for Logan Shoals Vista Point... not only a great spot for spectacular views of Lake Tahoe, but also a stop along the way of the Lincoln Highway: South Lake  Tahoe to Cave Rock Adventure Lab cache, one of several lab caches celebrating the historic highway route across the country.

At each of the ten Adventure Lab locations, you will receive a bonus hint (e.g. N = 5) after correctly answering the question. This will help you solve for the final coordinates (N 39° AB.CDE, W 119° VW.XYZ) for this cache. You can check your solution on the geocaching cache page.

The Lincoln Highway was the first transcontinental road for automobiles in the United States. It was established in 1913, spanning 3,389 miles, from Time Square in New York City to Lincoln Park in San Francisco. In California, portions of Interstate 80, most of U.S. Route 50, and most of old U.S. Route 40 are alignments of the Lincoln Highway. The "Pioneer Route" branch of the Lincoln Highway passed from Carson City through South Lake Tahoe.
